Air is a workspace for agentic development inside your JetBrains IDE.

Delegate coding tasks to Codex, Claude, Junie, OpenCode, and other supported agents, and keep several sessions moving at once. Air shows what each agent is doing, so you can switch between tasks and step in when needed.

CLI and ACP agents are both first-class. CLI agents run in a full terminal inside an editor tab. ACP agents use a native structured interface for progress, tool calls, permissions, and questions. The plugin itself is free; supported agents can use the accounts or subscriptions you already have.

This is a public preview version. We are releasing Air while we build it. Expect rough edges, changes to the UI and behavior, and updates roughly every week. Try it on real work and report what breaks or gets in the way.

• Open Global Prompt from anywhere in the IDE and attach selections, files, symbols, test results, VCS changes, console output, or screenshots. • Choose an agent and set its model, reasoning effort, access level, and launch surface. • Run and track several sessions across projects and worktrees. See activity, unread updates, changed files, outgoing commits, and cost in one place. • Search, group, archive, and reopen sessions. Air restores them after an IDE restart. • Let supported agents call IDE tools over MCP and work with structured context instead of copied text alone.
