Automatically Generate Unit Tests for Java Source Classes.

Create a Test Class

Choose Squaretest | Generate Test from the toolbar menu to create a test class for a Java class.

Create Test Methods

Open a test class and choose Squaretest | Generate Test Methods from the toolbar menu. Then select the test methods you want to create and click OK.

• Automatically generates Java tests using either JUnit4, JUnit5, TestNG, Robolectric3+, AndroidJUnit4 and Mockito. • Supports generating tests using Spring MockMVC, AssertJ and Groovy. • Supports choosing which dependencies to mock, which methods to test, and how to construct the source class (choose Squaretest | Generate Test - Confirm Options). • Generates test methods with when(), verify() and assertEquals(..) calls. • Generates code to initialize data transfer objects used in the tests. • Creates doAnswer() statements for dependency method calls that take in Callables or Runnables. • Creates test methods for alternate flows by stubbing dependency method calls to throw exceptions or return alternate values. • All output can be customized by changing the provided Apache Velocity templates. • See squaretest.com for the full list of features.
