Monokai Pro

Monokai Pro is a color scheme, customized user interface theme and icon pack for JetBrains IDEs. It has been designed with beautiful functionality in mind. Carefully selected shades of colors are the foundation of an uncompromising, non-distractive user interface.

Monokai Pro is designed by the same author of the original Monokai color scheme, Wimer Hazenberg. Back in 2006 he created the original Monokai colors. Since then, Monokai has been ported to every code editor on the planet and is used by millions of developers every day.

Licensing options

Monokai Pro is available under two licensing models:

• Freemium: Free to use with occasional reminders to register, with an optional monthly subscription that removes the reminder pop-ups. • Lifetime License: A one-time purchase that unlocks all features for all JetBrains IDEs, removes pop-ups, and supports ongoing development.

Color filters

Monokai Pro comes with a set of color filters to suit your mood. Monokai Pro also offers official light versions that are perfect for brighter environments.

Icons

The icons of Monokai Pro have all been created from scratch to ensure they are easily recognizable on small sizes in the side bar. They are designed to help you quickly find the right files in your project. The icon shapes align perfectly to the pixel grid so the icons always stay sharp.

Customization settings

Monokai Pro for JetBrains IDEs offers a few additional settings to further customize your Monokai Pro experience. You can choose between monochrome or colorful icons, and can turn your IDE into a minimal UI experience that offers an even more calm view.
