About ElasticScale DevOps
ElasticScale DevOps access lets you grant ElasticScale engineers scoped, time-limited access to your GitHub organization — no standing collaborator seats, no forgotten permissions. Access is requested, approved, and automatically revoked when the window closes, giving you a full audit trail for every session.
Capabilities
• Grant ElasticScale engineers temporary, scoped access to specific repositories instead of permanent org membership • Automatic expiration and revocation once the access window ends — no manual cleanup required • Full audit log of every access grant, including who approved it, what scope was given, and when it expired • Configurable approval workflow so your team controls who can request and approve access • Works alongside existing GitHub permissions and teams without disrupting current repo structure
Benefits
• Reduced standing risk: No engineer keeps GitHub access longer than the task requires, shrinking your attack surface. • Faster incident response: Grant emergency access in minutes instead of provisioning a new collaborator manually. • Audit-ready by default: Every grant, approval, and revocation is logged for compliance and security reviews. • Less admin overhead: No more remembering to remove contractor or vendor access after a project ends.
Getting Started
Requirements:
• Plan: Available on all ElasticScale support plans • User Permissions: Organization owner or admin to install and approve access requests • Availability: Generally available
Setup Process:
• Install the app on your GitHub organization and select the repositories it can manage. • Configure who can approve access requests and the default access duration. • When ElasticScale needs access, an engineer submits a request — you approve it, and access expires automatically at the end of the window.
Example Prompts
Try these with your ElasticScale engineer or support contact:
• "Grant read access to the billing-service repo for the next 4 hours." • "Extend my current access window by 2 hours." • "Revoke all active ElasticScale access grants now." • "Show me the audit log of access granted this month."
